Thomas Bangalter - Club Soda
Here's a blast from the past for you, released all the way back in 1998 by one half of Daft Punk. 14 years ago and it sounds fresh as a daisy, just goes to show how pioneering/influential these two French fellas have been.

RAC vs Van McCoy & The Soul City Symphony vs Daft Punk vs Troupe Gammage

So the story goes........
One of the RAC guys was bored during Christmas break and decided to have a little fun with this. His good friend Troupe Gammage had recorded a cover of Digital Love by Daft Punk with his band Speak. He threw that vocal take over this and it just kinda worked. It was pitched down and ended up like a Barry White sounding Troupe.

Phoenix seems like an appropriate place to start
Glad i've got off under such a snappy title.
Going to get the ball rolling with a collection of Phoenix goodies appropriated in the last few weeks.
Was tempted to give a short explanation as to why Phoenix are worthy of this preliminary post but decided that would be pretty boring.
With no further ado here are some bloody excellent things you might just find yourself enjoying.
Love Like A Sunset Part III - Phoenix
quite interesting
download
really really good
This last video was taken at Phoenix's recent gig at Madison Square Gardens. The climax of which was the joint performance of Phoenix and Daft Punk in a french electro/pop perfection love in. But hey, its no big deal and definitely not the most exciting thing i've ever seen.
